WxDev-C++ basically is an extension of the popular Dev-C++ development environment. Because of its ease of use and speed many novice and medium-level C-developers use this program as their coding choice.
WxDev-C++ is a program that allows you to create dialogs and frames for wxWidgets. You will be doing this is visually, using a form designer to create dialogs and frames. The program allows you to drag and drop objects and it also connects events to functions. This program also includes some nice features for editing, such as a class browser, code completion, project profiles, syntax highlighting among others. It also has support for a Concurrent Version System (CVS) built into the editor. The installation is quite simple and the creation of widgets is straightforward, if you know what you are doing. The problem with this program is that because it is still in development, there are some minor glitches. But the developers are working on these continuously, so the program is a very good, free option for developers. |
